SDK– It refers to “Software Development Kit”, from its name you can understand that it is the set of tools that a developers need to develop a mobile application. It consists programs for actually building things, simulators for testing purposes to rectify an error, and anything else that a developer might need.


Android application package file (APK) – It’s a file format for the android platform used to distribute and install mobile apps in the android supported devices.


OTA– An acronym that stands Over-The-Air Programming.  This method is to distribute Software and Software Patches over a wireless broadband connection to the device.


Mobile app API – Like APK, API is an acronym that refers to “Application Programming Interface”, it’s an interface which provides the developers all the functionalities through the framework or SDK to develop a mobile app.


Location Based Services (LBS) – Many of mobile apps require to access users’ geographical location to provide the useful content as well as best for them. Let’s try to understand it from an example, suppose you are looking for the nearest Food Café, then the mobile app use LBS to provide results based on your current geographical location to help you to reach there in minimum time.


Unique Device Identifier (UDID) – It is a string of alphanumeric code to uniquely identify your mobile device across the globe. It is assigned by the mobile device manufacturer.


I18n –A short form of the word internationalization where 18 represents the number of letters between the first I and last n of the word.


App Developer–We can say that he is an architect of mobile app, who develops an app to meet the user requirements or for the result that a person wants from an app.


Bugs– It refers to the unusual behavior of a mobile service or mobile app in the mobile devices.
